Part 21 Design International Ltd, part of the Shannon Technical Services Group, is experiencing significant growth and is currently looking for graduate engineers to fill the full-time post of Part 21 Graduate Design Engineer.
Role Overview
As a Design Engineer, you will support the design and certification of aircraft modifications, focusing mainly on cabin interiors and external liveries. You will report to the Head of Design and work on various aircraft types, compiling design and certification data.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering data such as drawings, work instructions, and technical reports following the company’s design handbook.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and the STS team.
- Participate in aircraft design reviews at each phase of the design process.
- Show willingness to learn different aspects of engineering, including testing, electrical systems, and structures.
- Manage time effectively, work well under pressure, and use computer applications to create documented processes.
- Use AutoCAD to deliver designs and create design packages.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar programs is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
- Be proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Have strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Be eager to learn and have a positive attitude towards career development.
- Be flexible and responsive to fast-changing operational situations.
- Must be an EU citizen or entitled to work within the EU without needing specific permits.
