Programme Overview

 The Shannon Technical Services (STS) Graduate Programme is a comprehensive rotation programme designed to provide graduates with a well-rounded understanding of the aviation industry. The programme now spans five key departments, offering rotations across Aircraft Technical Records/Technical Services, Materials Supply Chain, Leased Services, Part 21 (P21) Design Services, and Regulatory Compliance (CAMO). Graduates will gain hands-on experience and develop skills essential for various roles within STS.

Work Authorisation: Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work and travel in the EU.

 

Rotation Schedule

Months 1–5: Aircraft Technical Records / Technical Services

Months 6–10: Materials Supply Chain

Months 11–15: Leased Services

Months 16–20: Part 21 (P21) Design Services

Months 21–24: Regulatory Compliance (CAMO)

Programme Content

1.Aircraft Technical Records / Technical Services

Introduction to Aircraft Technical Records Management: Learn about the role of technical records in aircraft maintenance and the importance of regulatory compliance in record-keeping.

Hands-on Experience: Work closely with senior team members to manage and update aircraft records. Gain experience with digital record-keeping systems and software.

Project Assignment: Undertake a project to streamline record-keeping processes and gain insights into auditing and quality control procedures

2. Materials Supply Chain

Introduction to Supply Chain Management: Understand the fundamentals of supply chain management in aviation, including inventory control and procurement processes.

Sourcing and Supply Management: Work with the materials team to manage parts sourcing and supply. Gain experience in optimising management systems.

Vendor Relations and Optimisation: Interact with suppliers to understand negotiation and vendor management. Analyse supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

3. Leased Services

Introduction to Inspections and Maintenance Reserve Claims: Learn about lease-related inspections and their role in aircraft leasing. Understand maintenance reserves and the documentation required for submissions.

Claim Processing & Documentation: Assist in processing maintenance reserve claims, ensuring inspection reports and technical records are accurate and complete. Work with lessors, lessees, and inspection teams to resolve claim issues and verify compliance with lease agreements.

4. Part 21 (P21) Design Services

Introduction to Design Organisation Approval (DOA): Understand the regulatory framework governing aircraft modifications and repairs under EASA Part 21 Subpart J.

Design Engineering Support: Assist in the preparation of design changes, minor modifications, and repair schemes. Learn to navigate technical drawings, manuals, and certification specifications.

Compliance Verification: Gain exposure to the certification process, ensuring that designs meet all applicable airworthiness requirements and environmental protection standards.

5. Regulatory Compliance (CAMO)

Introduction to Aviation Regulations: Learn about key aviation regulations and their impact on operations. Understand the role of regulatory compliance in ensuring airworthiness.

Compliance Audits and Inspections: Participate in compliance audits and inspections. Learn about corrective action processes and regulatory reporting requirements.

Project Assignment: Undertake a project to enhance regulatory compliance processes within the organisation. Develop compliance training materials or tools for staff members.

Eagerness to learn and contribute positively to the STS team.

Proficient in computer skills, with essential knowledge of MS Excel.

Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and regulated work environment.

Requirements

A third-level degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Aviation Management, Business).

Visa permit to travel within the EU.
