About the Role
STS are seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join our Leased Services Team as a Technical Services Engineer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the team during a period of strong strategic growth. The candidate will ideally be based in Shannon with hybrid working options. The Technical Services Engineer will report to the Leased Services Team lead and Chief Lease Services officer and will be responsible for the review of technical records for Inspection reports, Quality Check and submission of the reports. Skills required for the role include excellent written and verbal communication, proven organisation competency and the ability to effectively plan and multitask.
Work Authorisation: Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work and travel in the EU.
Essential Job Functions
● Liaising directly with the Lease Services team lead and CLSO
● Managing and organising work, and delegating day to day work and responsibility effectively
● Managing and organising projects, working collaboratively and harnessing the capability of others to achieve the desired outcomes
● Managing critical time frames for receiving required records from the airline
● Support the internal coordination of any feedback received from our customers and collate for provision to the Inspections Manager
● Supporting the quality control process
● Managing the customer and airline interface for records and report coordination
● Review customer templates and reports and communicate customer expectations, objectives and deliverables to the Inspection Team
● Perform Pre-Purchase Inspection’s (PPI) and Annual Audit Review’s
● Physical on-site representation as required
● Work closely with all stakeholders to update on project progress and implement technical solutions to issues as they arise
● Attend customer meetings
● Flexible work schedule including out of office hours
● Deputise for the Lease Services Team Lead where required
Note: Roles and responsibilities are not solely limited to the above and will evolve as company strategy dictates.
Education/Experience
● Preferred Aircraft Licenced Engineer or Engineering Degree or an alternative relevant technical qualification with 3 years’ work experience in an the aviation technical field
● Microsoft (or equivalent) skills necessary (MS Project, Word, Excel, Power point), including the ability to design and utilise effective spreadsheets
● Knowledge of Aircraft Technical Services including relevant regulations will be a distinct advantage
● Experience with aviation industry leading document management & maintenance ERP systems a plus
● Eligible to live and work in the EU
Required Competencies
● Excellent understanding of Technical Records pertaining to Inspections ( Mid lease, PPI’s, Desktop Reviews, etc.).
● Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy and flexible approach in order to meet challenging objectives and deadlines
● Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines, to multitask and prioritise, and to adhere to strict guidelines/instructions
● Understanding and complying with company procedures (regulatory, operational, quality, safety)
● Motivated and proactive team player with good communication and numerical skills
● Problem solving and sound judgement on technical matters
